The body normally does an excellent job of ridding itself of toxins. However, it can’t get rid of everything.  Natural body detox helps your body get rid of these extra toxins.  There are many benefits of doing this.

One of the primary benefits of detoxing your body is that you’ll have more overall energy.  People who feel sluggish will certainly feel better after all toxins have been removed.  This process also helps you lose weight and can even leave your skin looking healthier.

The first thing you should do if you’re interested in natural body detox is to start eating healthier.  Unhealthy foods will increase the amount of harmful substances that your body has to remove.  You should limit eating bad foods to one or two days a week at most.

While you’re detoxing, it’s best that you eat leafy greens since they help get rid of heavy metals and other toxins in the body.  You should also make sure you have plenty of fruits in your diet.  Red fruits such as cranberries and strawberries are very beneficial.  You usually shouldn’t eat meat while detoxing, but fish contain beneficial essential oils that will help out.

One of the easiest ways to do a natural body detox is to simply drink water for a few days.  During this time, you won’t be able to eat any other foods. Drinking water without eating any food will help flush toxins out of the body.  Make sure you don’t do this longer than two days though or you may suffer dire consequences.  You will still need vital nutrients and vitamins to survive.

Instead of drinking water for a couple of days, you could substitute fruit juice instead.  At least this will give you some type of flavor to subsist on. Like with drinking water, this juice fast shouldn’t last more than two days. Although you’ll at least be getting some type of flavor, you’ll still need minerals, vitamins, and other nutrients to ensure that you stay healthy.

Natural body detox can also help your skin look healthier.  You can sweat out toxins beneath your skin by going to a sauna or steam bath.  Another option is to use a dry skin brush to get rid of any dead skin cells.

A natural body detox can benefit you in many ways.  It can revitalize you and give you much needed energy.  Detoxing can also help you lose weight or stop being so stressed.  What’s even better is that it’s simple for anyone to do at home.  Just make sure that you don’t take any fasting plans to an extreme and deprive yourself of vital nutrients, vitamins, and minerals for too long.
